Powerful relief through yoga based somatic therapy for physical and mental health

Tired of enduring or ignoring the things that stand in the way of you feeling as good as possible in your body and mind?

Things like:

  • stress, tension, sleep difficulties, headaches, exhaustion

  • injury, pain, mobility challenges, chronic illness

  • anxiety, depression, burnout

  • external challenges, disconnection from yourself... and the list goes on...

If you’re dealing with any of these, you probably have realised that an easy magic fix is elusive. It can be easier to ignore, endure, push through, give up or keep searching for that temporary relief or magic fix.

The magic fix vs sustainable results

While magic fixes sound nice, they often fail to deliver sustainable results.

Before you give up why not try something different?

Something that helps you start feeling better from the first session and supports you in working towards the sustainable results you want.

Something that can create more ease, reduce/manage symptoms and activate the bodies natural restorative capacity.

What is it?

I’m talking about a somatic therapeutic approach (aka mindbody therapy) that makes use of a wide variety of yoga based practices including movement, breathwork, relaxation, mindfulness and more. Along the way you'll learn about your body and nervous system and simple practices that you can use in your daily life to support its natural wisdom and your goals.

It’s known as yoga therapy but you don't have to be "a yoga person" to benefit from it. In fact, there's no flexibility, level of ability or experience required. And while you don't have to be "a yoga person", if you do have a yoga or mindfulness practice, we can explore ways to adapt it to best serve your purposes.

With yoga therapy you enjoy tailored sessions that:

  • Meet you right where you are

  • Leave you feeling better than when you walked in

  • Support you with your goals

  • Give you tools you can use at home

Sessions are tailored to the person so everyone's experience is different. For example one client may experience an active movement based session to support tension release, muscular strength and cardiovascular health while another may explore stillness, breath or trance to facilitate deep rest and mental clarity.

What kind of results can you expect?

Every client is different and I regularly get messages from clients who are delighted by their results. A new ability to sleep better, reduce headaches, or manage pain. Clients who have lowered their blood pressure, reduced muscle tension and back pain, improved their mobility, rediscovered their energy after a burnout, found motivation to do their physical therapy exercises, or who feel more connected to their body and inner wisdom.
