On this page, you can discover more about how Yoga Therapy can support your healing journey. Before jumping in though, I just want to say Hi and introduce myself.
My name is Skylar. My practice is called Collaborative Motion because I view all my work with clients as a partnership which supports flow and movement. Whether physically, emotionally, mentally, in external circumstances or as is so often the case, all of the above.
Yoga and Mindfulness have empowered me in my own journey with health, wellness and personal transformation. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as getting to journey with others and support them in discovering ways to thrive more.

Throughout the process we will regularly evaluate and tailor the treatment. Read more about what clients have to say and the available yoga therapy packages below.
“When I started yoga therapy, I wasn’t sleeping well, I had high blood pressure and chronic lower back pain. After 8 sessions, my blood pressure was back to normal, my back pain was significantly reduced and I had tools to help me fall back asleep at night if I woke up. I can’t recommend working with Skylar high enough.”

Can yoga therapy really help with all of these things?
While the issues, causes and reasons for seeking support differ, what connects many of them is the desire to have more personal agency over one’s own wellness and to improve quality of life and health, now and for the long-term.
One of the beautiful things about yoga is that it contains a range of diverse practices developed to help reduce suffering. Western science is still discovering all the ways that these practices can impact the varying systems in our body and mind in beneficial ways.
Yogic wisdom and science agree that the mind and the body are interrelated and can work together towards health or illness. Yoga therapy aims to increase health and wellbeing by working with the body, mind and spirit to create conditions that support health and inner balance.
Treatment is always tailored to you and might include therapeutic movement, breath work, relaxation, visualisation, yoga nidra, mindfulness, meditation, lifestyle advice, sound, art, philosophy, clinical somatics and/or other therapeutic techniques. There is a wealth of research showing the effectiveness of each of these tools and disciplines in improving physical, mental, emotional and social health outcomes. Yoga therapy can be done alongside other treatments and medical care.

What people are saying.
“When I started yoga therapy I was recovering from burnout. I didn’t like yoga but heard yoga therapy could be helpful so I tried it. I had no energy and my thoughts just ran in circles. I’m not sure how they did it but it really felt like every session was exactly what I needed on the day. If I was exhausted, I left feeling more energized. If I was stressed, I left feeling calmer. After a few months of working together, I noticed a big overall impact. My energy increased, I made important changes in my life and I learned how to take better care of myself. Thank you!” - F.M.
“I was recovering from a shoulder injury when I started yoga therapy. I had worked with a physical therapist but hit a plateau. Over the months of yoga therapy, I discovered so much about my body and mind and found ways to support my recovery. The pain I experienced went away and my range of motion improved. Alongside the recovery of my shoulder, I was surprised at the other improvements in my life. It’s like I found a new way of living that left more space for me, increased my confidence and even reduced the anxiety I was experiencing.” - J.W.

“Yoga therapy offered me a safe space where I learned ways to take care of myself that have truly made a difference in my busy stressful life.”
— A.M.
