Coaching Philosophy

We view coaching as a collaborative process focused on you. We don't want to create dependence on us, so we work to develop self-generation and self-efficacy in every coaching relationship. Further, we believe that awareness is the doorway to transformation and to increasing your resourcefulness, impact, and effectiveness in getting the results you want. Awareness is a tool which will help you create and sustain change throughout your lifetime, increasing your own self-efficacy. As a result we will work to increase your awareness during coaching - of self, others and your impact.

While moving towards concrete outcomes, our approach frequently incorporates one or more of the following themes as we work:

Attention training

Attention training enables increased emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence involves self-awareness and self-mastery, awareness of others. It increases your effectiveness in building relationships and managing impulses and reactions. Increased awareness often reveals and helps you change habits and beliefs which may be holding you back. Attention training can also increase your ability to navigate complexity. Studies show that other benefits include increased focus, engagement, creativity and productivity.

The Body

Our ways of viewing, interpreting, responding to and interacting with the world get wired into our brain and body through practice. They become automatic and we are largely unconscious of them. By bringing attention to the body, we discover a rich source of information as well as new possibilities for embodying behaviours which are in line with what which matters most to us.

Strengths-based

Everyone has strengths. Identifying and leveraging our strengths is a powerful resource for getting results, increasing our sense of meaning, and unleashing our full potential.

Authentic presence

When you are fully present in the moment with your head and your heart, aware of self and others, you develop authentic presence. It is strengthened by deepening your understanding of and alignment with your strengths and values.

Open mindset

Adopt a more flexible mindset that embraces learning and sees opportunities for personal growth and change everywhere. An open mindset translates into a posture that explores and asks questions, admits failures, looks to learn, and embraces challenge and discomfort rather than pushing it away or avoiding it.

Holistic well-being

Learn to zoom out, look at the big picture, and see how the areas of our life are interconnected. You are more than what you do. Health is more than if you go to the gym. Well-being is bigger than the circumstances we find ourselves in. Alongside achievement, clients often report increased happiness, engagement, sense of purpose, and improved relationships.

The first step is to get in touch. We always start with understanding what you want to achieve and defining outcomes that we can work towards together.

We work with a wide variety of people and goals. At the start of the program we’ll determine where you want to go and define outcomes to work towards together. Our approach is holistic and you can expect structured conversations, homework to support your learning and concrete actions that move you towards your desired outcomes.

While the length of a coaching program varies from 1 session to long-term support across many topics, on average, you might expect 5-8 coaching sessions plus an introduction and a final review conversation.

Cost will vary based on length of sessions, duration of the coaching program, as well as if you are an individual, team or organization.

What we expect from you.

It all comes down to being ready and willing. You’re ready to grow and don’t expect anyone else to do the work for you. It’s your path but you don’t have to walk it alone.
